Business People: Medical and financial professionals take on new roles

Cindy Jo Allen, MBA, BSN, RN, has been named vice president and assistant chief operating officer at Washington Regional Medical Center. Allen has more than 18 years of experience in the health care industry in nurse leadership, process improvement and hospital administration roles including most recently holding positions as assistant administrator at University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle and administrator of public health laboratories at Washington State Department of Health in Shoreline, Wash. In her new role, Allen will be responsible for organizing, planning and managing the day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives of the surgical services, imaging, laboratory, therapy and pharmacy departments. Allen holds a master of business administration from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Wash., a bachelor of science in nursing from Washington State University in Pullman, Wash., and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash.

Rachael Gavin has been promoted to head teller/personal banker at First Community Bank’s Rogers branch. In her new role, Gavin oversees the daily operations of the bank’s teller line, supervising and supporting the teller team, while ensuring transactions are accurate and efficient. She joined the bank in August 2023 and holds a bachelor of education in kinesiology pedagogy and a master of education, both from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.

Dr. Merit Turner has joined Baptist Health Adult Medicine Specialists-Fort Smith as an internal medicine physician, where she’ll provide comprehensive care for adults with a focus on diagnosing, treating and preventing diseases. A Fort Smith native, Turner earned her medical degree and completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Isaac Crow has joined Haag Brown Commercial’s Northwest Arkansas brokerage team. Crow’s background spans both the investment and insurance industries. A Conway native, he earned a bachelor of arts in finance from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia.
