Toggle“A pointed-toe style! Pointed-toe shoes are extremely versatile and pair well with absolutely anything in your wardrobe,” says London. “For pants, they are especially great with a wide-leg design by balancing out the width of the bottoms and elongating legs. They also work with all cuts of jeans, skinny styles in particular since they also have a contoured shape. When it comes to selecting a pointed-toe shoe, look for options that are wide enough at the toe so they won’t feel constricting or cause blisters. Comfort is also key, so keep an eye out for padded and molded insoles to ensure there’s arch support. Best of all, these features can be found in pointed-toe flats, pumps, boots and more!”
“I’m always a fan of accessorizing with whatever makes you feel happy and confident. For higher necklines, a nice pair of earrings is your best bet. Earrings are a great way to add some color, sparkle and sophistication without overwhelming the neckline, as some necklaces can do. Bracelets are also a good option, as they won’t clash with the neckline,” says London. “If you do want to add a necklace, keep it simple and dainty, and make sure the length and style match or sit near the neckline—almost as if the necklace outlines the neckline. And of course, jewelry isn’t the only accessory; you can also elevate your outfit with statement shoes or a bag and ditch the jewelry altogether if you choose.”
“If you’re ever worried about a pattern, such as animal print (or even floral designs), being too overpowering, it’s best to ease into it with accessories! Adding subtle touches of the print with a great scarf, handbag, earrings or shoes will help the design not look too busy or overwhelming to the eye,” explains London. “And for those who want to wear animal print clothing, I suggest pairing it with neutral items. For example, toss on a print blouse with solid neutral bottoms or even dark-wash denim. This will allow the top to have its moment and make a gorgeous statement without competing with other garments you’re wearing.”
“If you’re looking for a dressier winter coat, choose one that’s longer in length—hitting somewhere below the knee or mid-calf—and made of wool to ensure you stay warm and cozy. Bonus points for one that’s belted, which will highlight the waist and keep the fabric from overwhelming the frame,” says London. “And for a more casual, daytime option, a quilted parka always looks great. These tend to be fitted without adding unwanted bulk to the body. Also, don’t be afraid to have some fun with a winter coat. Bold outerwear is a great way to punch up style, and, just like a bag, you are not always wearing it—but when you are, it makes you the center of attention.”
